Taking a trip allows for new experiences! We hope they will be only good ones. Despite this, the question of liability and risk must be kept in mind.

The safety of our clients and staff is a major priority of Morocco-amazingtrips and we will take every measure to ensure that trips are safe, fun and enjoyable for everyone.

However no set of guidelines can anticipate all possible conditions that may arise. Due to the nature of travel and the areas we visit sometimes things can and do go wrong. We ask our leaders and travellers to put sound judgement ahead of hard and fast rules and to judge each situation as it arises.

For safety reasons, it is essential to follow the instructions of your guide, and any of morocco-amazingtrips representatives.

Please also note that your guide has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the trip itinerary if it’s deemed necessary due to safety concerns.

Travel insurance

To protect our clients a travel insurance is compulsory for all our trips. Your Tour Leader can ask for a proof.

Please ensure your travel insurance covers medical expenses including emergency repatriation, appropriate and sufficient for the trip you book. Therefore check the terms of your (travel) insurance!

We strongly recommend that the policy also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects. If something unexpected happens during the trip or before the start of the trip, this can cost you a lot of money. You can avoid high costs by taking out insurance.

Travel and cancellation insurance is not offered by Morocco-amazingtrips, they are easy to take out anywhere.

Adventure tours own risk

With emphasis we would like to draw your attention to the fact that participation on these trips, trekkings and in optional sporting and other fun activities (like mountain trekking, cycling, mule riding)  is voluntary and at your own responsibility and risk.

Health

By booking (one of) our tours, make sure that you are in good health as well as fit enough to take part in hikes, and other possible planned events of your itinerary. This way you can enjoy your trip more.

Morocco-amazingtrips cannot assess whether a participant with health restrictions is able to make a certain trip without problems. In case of doubt, always ask this question to a doctor.

Altitude Sickness

Keep in mind that from a height of about 2800 metres there is the possibility that you will be bothered by the height. Please note that the Atlas trekking trips go above 2800 metres/9200 feet so it is possible for travellers to experience slight symptoms of altitude sickness (headache, insomnia, loss of appetite irregular breathing in sleep and general malaise).

For more information read altitude sickness . Consult your doctor for any advice on high altitude trekking. Please also let your tour leader know if you have experienced any high altitude sickness symptoms in the past.

Certifications and qualifications

During the planned tour and itinerary your guide will take good care of you. Our Tour Leader has advanced certifications for summer hikes and winter climbs (under Swiss expert guidance) in the high Atlas. Including techniques such as: mountain climbing techniques and avalanche/snow search and rescue training. Our Tour Leader is also First Aid trained and qualified. He regularly updates his knowledge and skills.

First aid kits

The Tour Leader has a medical kit which they will carry with him throughout the trip. This medical kit contains basic first aid supplies. The Tour Leader will apply first aid where appropriate until medical assistance can be provided. Personal medication should always be carried by the passenger if required and disclosed to the leader in the event of an emergency.
